Dear Parents,

Once again it is time to join with the American Heart Association for our annual Hoops for Heart Fundraiser.  The American Heart Association is second only to the Federal Government in providing funds for research and medical support for people with Heart Disease.  Last year Indian Ridge Raised a total of $6,349 for the American Heart Association, which was our top fundraising year so far.  We would like to top that this year by raising a total of $7,000.  This is only possible with your help.

The date of this year's event will be Friday, February, 15th and will take place during your son/daughters Special's time.  All students will participate on that day regardless if they have collected donations.  Since this will be part of our regular Special's schedule and the P.E. curriculum, you do not have to fill out the attached permission on the envelope (Envelope is not provided online, you can pick one up in the school).  This year we will also be including Kindergarten. If you're Kindergarten child does not attend school on Fridays and would like to participate, they may join their regular class durint their Special's time at 2:10 PM.

This year we will be having a special Heart Wall in the main hall near the gym.  Attached to this web page is an outline of a heart.  We would like every child to write in this heart what they can do th help fight Heart Disease.  Please decorate your heart, cut it out and return it to your classroom teacher the day of the event.  These will be placed on our Heart Wall.  As an extra incentive this year we will be having a special challenge called Duct Tape for Dollars.  Any student that brings in a donation of at least $15 will get to help Duct Tape Mr. A to our heart Wall.  This will take place one (1) week after the event on Friday, February 22.  So be a part of the fun and collect those donatins.

If you have any questions please feel free to call 720-886-8412

Thanks for all your support!
